Tsantiris Akratos red ikaria 2017

A dry red wine from Greece, made with Fokiano and Mandilaria from the 2017 vintage. Fokiano is a Greek island red grape producing warm, fruit-forward wines. It's joined by Mandilaria — a deeply colored Greek red grape giving tannic, full-bodied wines, often blended to add color and structure. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. It's a friendly all-rounder — lovely with roast chicken, pork, mushroomy dishes or a bowl of tomatoey pasta. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
