Reguengos Reguengos red doc 2024
Here's a lovely dry red wine from Portugal, made with Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez (Tempranillo), Cabernet Sauvignon and Castelão from the 2024 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Alicante Bouschet is unusual among red grapes for its red flesh, producing intensely colored, full-bodied wines with concentrated dark fruit. There's Aragonez (Tempranillo) in the blend too: a Portuguese name for Tempranillo, giving structured, savory reds with red and dark fruit. Portugal is a goldmine of native grapes, from the zippy whites of the green northwest to the muscular reds and legendary Ports of the Douro Valley. Pour it with grilled steak, lamb or a slow-cooked stew and it'll feel right at home. Serve it at cool room temperature.
