Nostos Nostos blend red 2019

Nostos Nostos Blend brings us this dry red wine from Greece, a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Roussanne from the 2019 vintage. Syrah is a bold red grape producing dark, full-bodied wines with blackberry, black-pepper and smoky, savory notes; it is known as Shiraz in Australia. There's Grenache in the blend too: a warm-climate red grape giving generous, fruit-forward wines with ripe strawberry and raspberry flavors, gentle tannins and a touch of spice. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. Pour it with grilled steak, lamb or a slow-cooked stew and it'll feel right at home. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
