Pinot Noir is a delicate, thin-skinned red grape famed for its silky texture and bright flavors of red cherry, raspberry and earthy, savory undertones. Oregon, up in the cool, rainy Pacific Northwest, has made its name with elegant, cool-climate wines — its silky Pinot Noir above all. Lovely with lighter fare — salmon, roast chicken, mushroom risotto. Best enjoyed at cool room temperature.
