Los noques Winemaker's blend red 2023
Here's a lovely dry red wine from Argentina, made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Bonarda and Merlot from the 2023 vintage. Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most planted red grapes, prized for its deep color, firm tannins and dark-fruit flavors of blackcurrant and plum, often with notes of cedar and tobacco. There's Malbec in the blend too: a French grape that found its spiritual home in Argentina, producing deeply colored, full-bodied reds with plush black-fruit, plum and a velvety texture. Argentina is South America's wine powerhouse, where most of the vineyards sit high in the dry foothills of the Andes — all that bright sunshine and cool mountain nights give the wines their ripe, juicy generosity. Pour it with grilled steak, lamb or a slow-cooked stew and it'll feel right at home. Serve it at cool room temperature.
