Lafazanis Nemea red 2019

Say hello to Lafazanis's Agiorgitiko — a dry red wine from Greece from the 2019 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Agiorgitiko is one of Greece's most important red grapes, centered on Nemea, producing soft, velvety wines with ripe red-fruit, plum and a hint of spice. It comes from Nemea, the rolling heart of the Peloponnese and the home turf of the Agiorgitiko grape. It's a friendly all-rounder — lovely with roast chicken, pork, mushroomy dishes or a bowl of tomatoey pasta. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
