A resinated white (retsina) from Greece, made with Roditis and Savatiano, and it's a non-vintage bottling. A quick word on the grape: Roditis is a widely grown Greek pink-skinned grape giving fresh, crisp whites with citrus and melon, and a key grape in traditional retsina. There's Savatiano in the blend too: Greece's most planted white grape, giving soft, fresh wines with subtle citrus and stone fruit, and is the traditional base of retsina. Retsina is a Greek classic, traditionally given a whisper of pine resin that lends a fresh, almost piney lift — don't let the quirk put you off, it's delicious with food. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. Pour it with shellfish, fish tacos, salads or anything from the sea. Best straight from the fridge, nicely chilled.
