Kamkoutis Kourites brings us this dry red wine from Greece, a blend of Xinomavro, Cabernet and Merlot from the 2021 vintage. Xinomavro is northern Greece's noble red grape, famed in Naoussa for high acidity, firm tannins and savory red-fruit and tomato notes; it is often compared to Italy's Nebbiolo. It's joined by Cabernet — a deeply colored, structured red grape in the Cabernet family, known for dark-fruit flavors and firm tannins. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else.
