Gavala Cyclades Posta brings us this dry white wine from Greece, a blend of Assyrtiko and Monemvasia from the 2024 vintage. New to Assyrtiko? Assyrtiko is Greece's noblest white grape, native to Santorini, producing bone-dry, mineral-driven wines with searing acidity and citrus, saline and stone-fruit character. There's Monemvasia in the blend too: a Greek white grape, historically linked to Malvasia, giving aromatic, fresh wines with citrus and floral notes. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else.
