Franco serra Barolo 2022

Franco Serra brings us this dry red wine from Italy, made with Nebbiolo from the 2022 vintage. About the grape — Nebbiolo is the noble red grape of Piedmont behind Barolo and Barbaresco, producing pale but powerfully tannic, high-acid wines with rose, tar and red-cherry aromatics. It's from Barolo in Piedmont, the majestic 'king of wines' made from the Nebbiolo grape. Pour it with grilled steak, lamb or a slow-cooked stew and it'll feel right at home. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
