Foundi Naoussa red 2019

This is Foundi's take on Xinomavro — a dry red wine out of Greece from the 2019 vintage. Xinomavro is northern Greece's noble red grape, famed in Naoussa for high acidity, firm tannins and savory red-fruit and tomato notes; it is often compared to Italy's Nebbiolo. It's from Naoussa in northern Greece, the noble home of the Xinomavro grape. This is your steak-night, lamb-roast, hearty-stew kind of red. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
