Esporao Esporao brings us this dry white wine from Portugal, a blend of Roupeiro (Síria), Arinto and Antão Vaz from the 2024 vintage. About the grape — Roupeiro, also called Síria, is a Portuguese white grape giving fresh, citrus-and-floral scented wines, best enjoyed young. Arinto comes along for the ride as well — a Portuguese white grape prized for its bracing acidity and lemony, mineral freshness, holding its zing even in warm climates. Portugal is a goldmine of native grapes, from the zippy whites of the green northwest to the muscular reds and legendary Ports of the Douro Valley. The 'Reserva' on the label usually means it's a step-up selection given a little extra aging before release. Pour it with shellfish, fish tacos, salads or anything from the sea. Serve it well chilled.
