Chidaine Touraine red 2023

Meet Chidaine Touraine's dry red wine: a blend of Côt (Malbec), Cabernet and Pineau d'Aunis, all from France from the 2023 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Côt is the traditional French name for Malbec, giving deeply colored reds with dark plum and berry fruit. It's joined by Cabernet — a deeply colored, structured red grape in the Cabernet family, known for dark-fruit flavors and firm tannins. France is the spiritual home of wine, the place that gave us most of the world's classic styles and the whole idea that where a wine grows shapes how it tastes. Pour it with grilled steak, lamb or a slow-cooked stew and it'll feel right at home. Serve it at cool room temperature.
