Here's a lovely dry white wine from Greece, made with Chardonnay from the 2022 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Chardonnay is the world's most famous white grape, remarkably versatile, ranging from crisp and citrusy when unoaked to rich and buttery with notes of apple, pear and, when oak-aged, vanilla and toast. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. It has the body for roast chicken, creamy pasta or a buttery fish dish. Best straight from the fridge, nicely chilled.
