Cave Spring brings us this dry red wine from Canada, made with Cabernet Franc from the 2020 vintage. New to Cabernet Franc? Cabernet Franc is an aromatic red grape, a parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, typically lighter in body with red-fruit, herbal and sometimes peppery character. Canada makes lovely cool-climate wines and is world-famous for its lusciously sweet Icewine. It's a friendly all-rounder — lovely with roast chicken, pork, mushroomy dishes or a bowl of tomatoey pasta. Serve it at cool room temperature.
