Meet Castell de Santueri's dry red wine: a blend of Callet and Mantonegro, all from Spain from the 2019 vintage. New to Callet? Callet is a Mallorcan red grape giving pale, fresh, lightly spiced wines, often blended with Mantonegro. It's joined by Mantonegro — the principal red grape of Mallorca, giving soft, ripe, fruit-forward wines. It comes from the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, home to charming native grapes. Pour it with weeknight pasta, roast chicken or a cheese plate and you're golden. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
