This is Tetramythos Cava Mezze's take on Black of Kalavryta (Mavro Kalavrytino) — a dry red wine out of Greece from the 2023 vintage. Mavro Kalavrytino, the 'Black of Kalavryta,' is a rare Greek mountain red grape giving fresh, red-fruited wines. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. Easygoing at the table: try it with roast meats, pasta, pizza night or a charcuterie board. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
