Qta nova senhora carmo Unoaked douro red 2023
A dry red wine from Portugal, made with Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Touriga Franca from the 2023 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Touriga Nacional is Portugal's most prized red grape, giving deeply colored, structured wines with violet aromatics, blackberry and firm, age-worthy tannins; it is a cornerstone of Port and Douro reds. It's joined by Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) — the Portuguese name for Tempranillo, contributing firm structure and dark-fruit depth to Douro reds and Port. It's grown on the steep, terraced schist slopes of the Douro Valley — the breathtaking river region that gave the world Port. This is your steak-night, lamb-roast, hearty-stew kind of red. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
