Poitout Chablis vielles vignes 2023

This dry white wine comes from France, built around Chardonnay from the 2023 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Chardonnay is the world's most famous white grape, remarkably versatile, ranging from crisp and citrusy when unoaked to rich and buttery with notes of apple, pear and, when oak-aged, vanilla and toast. It's from Chablis, the cool northern outpost of Burgundy famous for steely, mineral Chardonnay. It has the body for roast chicken, creamy pasta or a buttery fish dish. Serve it well chilled.
