La caravelle La caravelle brut rose 20NV

The La Caravelle Brut Rosé NV is a sparkling wine that emanates from the renowned Champagne region in France. This wine has garnered attention for its beautiful salmon pink hue and a harmonious blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 30% Pinot Meunier. What makes it unique is the addition of elegant Pinot Noir still wines from well-known appellations such as Aÿ and Bouzy, which are blended into the base blend that it shares with the Cuvée Niña. This blend results in a wine that is aged for 24 months on the lees, contributing to its complexity and depth. The wine is described as having a floral and red berry bouquet with hints of cherry almond, pomegranate, and fennel, making it a delightful and aromatic experience. This Champagne has a special connection to New York City, as it was originally associated with the renowned restaurant La Caravelle, which closed in 2004. Post-closure, Rita and André Jammet decided to continue the legacy of La Caravelle by focusing on the French tradition of proprietary blending, crafting three different cuvées in Epernay.
