Here's a lovely dry white wine from Portugal — Esporao's blend of Antão Vaz, Viosinho and Alvarinho from the 2025 vintage. Antão Vaz is an Alentejo white grape giving ripe, full-bodied wines with tropical and stone-fruit character and good structure. There's Viosinho in the blend too: a high-quality Douro white grape giving aromatic, full-textured wines with floral and stone-fruit notes. Portugal is a goldmine of native grapes, from the zippy whites of the green northwest to the muscular reds and legendary Ports of the Douro Valley. It has the body for roast chicken, creamy pasta or a buttery fish dish. Serve it well chilled.
