Dom. pigeonnier Montlouis sec 2020
The Domaine Le Pigeonnier Montlouis-sur-Loire Sec is a white wine from the Montlouis-sur-Loire region in the Loire Valley of France. This wine pairs well with a variety of foods, including fruity desserts, lean fish, or shellfish. It is known for its refreshing character and is made exclusively from Chenin Blanc grapes. The vineyard spans over 20 hectares in the communes of St Martin le Beau and Dierre, situated on the hillside and plains along the right bank of the Cher river. The vines are predominantly south or south-east facing, which is ideal for the Chenin grapes used in this wine. The Montlouis sur Loire Sec offers a beautiful freshness and is suggested to pair well with fish in sauce, white meats, or even delicatessen. The wine undergoes pressing and alcoholic fermentation, followed by ageing on lees for 6 months. It is recommended for immediate consumption but also has great ageing potential, up to 15 years.
