Ch. l'escarderie Fronsac bordeaux red 2020
Here's a lovely dry red wine from France — Ch. L'escarderie Fronsac's blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc from the 2020 vintage. Merlot is a widely grown red grape valued for its soft, supple texture and approachable plum and black-cherry fruit, making it one of the most easy-drinking reds. There's Cabernet Franc in the blend too: an aromatic red grape, a parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, typically lighter in body with red-fruit, herbal and sometimes peppery character. It comes from Bordeaux, the historic French region that defined the world's great Cabernet–Merlot blends. It's a friendly all-rounder — lovely with roast chicken, pork, mushroomy dishes or a bowl of tomatoey pasta. Serve it at cool room temperature.
