Petit balthazar Pays d'oc merlot 2024

Here's a lovely dry red wine from France, made with Merlot from the 2024 vintage. Merlot is a widely grown red grape valued for its soft, supple texture and approachable plum and black-cherry fruit, making it one of the most easy-drinking reds. France is the spiritual home of wine, the place that gave us most of the world's classic styles and the whole idea that where a wine grows shapes how it tastes. It's a friendly all-rounder — lovely with roast chicken, pork, mushroomy dishes or a bowl of tomatoey pasta. Best enjoyed at cool room temperature.
