N lazaridi Cavalieri merlot 2022

This dry red wine comes from Greece, built around Merlot from the 2022 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Merlot is a widely grown red grape valued for its soft, supple texture and approachable plum and black-cherry fruit, making it one of the most easy-drinking reds. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. It's a friendly all-rounder — lovely with roast chicken, pork, mushroomy dishes or a bowl of tomatoey pasta. Pop it open at cool room temperature — a brief chill on a hot day doesn't hurt.
