Moraitis Paros red reserve 2021
Moraitis Paros brings us this dry red wine from Greece, a blend of Monemvasia and Mandilaria from the 2021 vintage. New to Monemvasia? Monemvasia is a Greek white grape, historically linked to Malvasia, giving aromatic, fresh wines with citrus and floral notes. Mandilaria comes along for the ride as well — a deeply colored Greek red grape giving tannic, full-bodied wines, often blended to add color and structure. Greece has been making wine for thousands of years, and its sun-drenched hills and breezy islands grow native grapes you simply won't find anywhere else. The 'Reserva' on the label usually means it's a step-up selection given a little extra aging before release. Pour it with shellfish, fish tacos, salads or anything from the sea. Chill it down and enjoy.
