Lazaridis Oenotria land cab/agiorgiti 2020
This wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Agiorgitiko, bearing the Protected Geographical Indication of Attica, Greece. The Agiorgitiko grape softens the intensity of the Cabernet Sauvignon while maintaining its essential characteristics, influenced by the Attica terroir. It exhibits a dense, deep red color and a concentrated, multilayered presence dominated by aromas of black fruit, vanilla, toasted bread, chocolate, and spices. The palate is fleshy and well-structured with firm yet elegant tannins and abundant ripe fruit. Warm and generous, this wine maintains an enviable balance and a long, spicy finish. It is recommended to be paired with red meats, particularly lamb, slow-cooked beef, steak, and roast duck. The wine has an alcohol content of 14.5% and has aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak barrels. It is an unfiltered wine with potential sediment, so decanting is advised. This wine has the potential for lengthy aging, evolving gracefully for at least 15-20 years post-harvest
