Baga is a Portuguese red grape from the Bairrada region, known for high acidity, firm tannins and bright red-fruit, with excellent aging potential. Portugal is a goldmine of native grapes, from the zippy whites of the green northwest to the muscular reds and legendary Ports of the Douro Valley. Perfect for toasting, and surprisingly great with fish and chips or salty snacks. Chill it right down before pouring.
