Meet Qta da Pacheca's dry white wine: a blend of Viosinho, Códega do Larinho and Gouveio, all from Portugal from the 2022 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Viosinho is a high-quality Douro white grape giving aromatic, full-textured wines with floral and stone-fruit notes. Códega do Larinho comes along for the ride as well — a Douro white grape giving fresh, lightly aromatic wines with citrus and orchard fruit. It's grown on the steep, terraced schist slopes of the Douro Valley — the breathtaking river region that gave the world Port. The 'Reserva' on the label usually means it's a step-up selection given a little extra aging before release. It has the body for roast chicken, creamy pasta or a buttery fish dish. Best straight from the fridge, nicely chilled.
