A dry red wine from Portugal, made with Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Touriga Nacional from the 2017 vintage. A quick word on the grape: Tinta Roriz is the Portuguese name for Tempranillo, contributing firm structure and dark-fruit depth to Douro reds and Port. Portugal is a goldmine of native grapes, from the zippy whites of the green northwest to the muscular reds and legendary Ports of the Douro Valley. The 'Reserva' on the label usually means it's a step-up selection given a little extra aging before release. Easygoing at the table: try it with roast meats, pasta, pizza night or a charcuterie board. Serve it at cool room temperature.
